Indian Rocks Beach

Legend has it that Florida's beach community of Indian Rocks Beach reputedly got its name when a native medicine man miraculously healed his chief with the waters from a natural sulfur spring believed to have been located in Kolb Park across from Indian Rocks Beach City Hall. Early settlers seeing the Indians on their way to the "rock encircled spring" would say, "The Indians are on their way to the rocks."

Indian Rocks Beach offers nearly three miles of beautiful and accessible beaches along the glittering Gulf of Mexico. The city's tourist population is one of its greatest assets, as people come from all over the world to visit Indian Rocks Beach for the city's fine beaches and to watch the beautiful sunsets. The city has 27 beach access points along Gulf Boulevard. Beat the heat and find tons of thrills at the new Splash Harbour Water Park featuring two 42-foot tall waterslides, a lazy river and zero-entry pool. Also, be sure to stop by the Indian Rocks Historical Museum—a fascinating trip back in time in this beachfront town and, best of all, it’s totally free.
